Make To Order Policy

At Carave Paris, our Make To Order (MTO) option allows you to own specially manufactured jewellery tailored to your requests. This manufacturing based purchase option often comes with special pricing due to planned production and advance payment.

1. How it Works

  1. Advance Order Customers place an order and complete the full payment to initiate the manufacturing process.
  2. Manufacturing & Deliver Once confirmed, your piece is crafted and delivered within the estimated timeline shown at the time of purchase typically 15 To 20 days.
  3. Eligibility This option is available on selected designs and will be clearly marked on the product detail page.

2. Product Categories

  1. Make To Order Available for items that don't require sizing e.g., Earrings, Pendants, Nose pins, Necklaces.
  2. Make To Order + Customize Available for items that require size selection e.g., Rings, Bangles, Bracelets, Chains.

3. Pricing & Weight Variations

Jewellery manufacturing is an intricate process, and minor variations may occur

  1. Price Lock The gold rate is locked on the date of your order.
  2. Final Value The final price is calculated based on the actual gold weight, diamond weight, and stone weight of the finished product.
  3. Refund/Top up  If the final price is lower than the amount paid, we will refund the difference to your original payment source.
    • If the final price is higher, a payment link will be sent to complete the balance before dispatch.

4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is the 14 day return policy applicable? No. The 14 day return policy only applies to  Ready to Ship products. Make To Order items are created specifically for you and are not eligible for standard returns. However, they are eligible for exchange or buy back as per our Exchange & Buy Back Policy.

Can I use Cash on Delivery (COD)? No. MTO products require full advance payment via Credit/Debit cards, Net Banking, or Bank Transfers to start the manufacturing process.

Why is MTO offered on In Stock items? If you choose MTO for an In Stock design, we manufacture a fresh piece for you instead of sending the existing stock. This allows you to benefit from MTO pricing and manufacturing schedules.

Will the final product look exactly like the image? Minor variations in weight or finishing within industry accepted tolerances may occur due to the handcrafted nature of the manufacturing process.
